The gong is an East Asian bronze percussion instrument created entirely by hand. They are related to the single cymbals, hung up vertically or horizontally with a raised size. The surface is flat or slightly rounded, and the outer edges are bent backwards.
Gong has also had applications beyond music, in reaction. Therapy, performance art, relaxation, and meditation. A few well-trained therapists use large-sized gongs for healing purposes.
Each Gong has its own extraordinary and particular sound character; its impressive, charismatic sound embodies a wealth of archetypal emotional sensations and truths.
